Do you have a USP?
To be successful online you have to have something unique to sell. Whether you are selling a service or a
product, you still have to find that unique selling proposition that will make you stand out from the crowd.

Are you visible on Google?
Once you have that great design, make sure you can be seen and not buried away in the nether regions of
the search engine listings... or worse, not being found at all by the search engines. There are several ways
to make your web site visible online . . .

1. Are you optimized to the max?
This is a constantly changing and often expensive occupation and requires a thorough knowledge of how
search engines work and their current requirements. Optimizing means using the right meta tags, alt tags
and keywords and making sure the text on your web site contains those all important keywords.
Search engines have different rules and it is important that your website is search engine-friendly.

2. Link your way to the top
These days search engines like GOOGLE rely on links (back to your site) to rank it, so it is important to be
linked in many relevant top ranking sites. But avoid 'link farms' and try to avoid having reciprocal links.

3. Submit to the search engine directories
It is increasingly difficult to be listed in search engine directories without parting with cash, as more join
Yahoo in charging for submissions. This does not automatically guarantee your inclusion either, so it's
important you pay careful attention to their rules of submission. If you don't have time to undertake this
time consuming task we can do it for you if we design your web site. If you wish to submit your web
site yourself then beware of auto submits to hundreds of search engines. The majority of those SE 's
are unknown and a waste of time, or worse... your web site may be penalised for auto-submitting.
