Our Auckland hospitality website, a custom responsive website design for the new luxury two bedroom apartment, 'Quail Lodge' in Drury South Auckland, was launched in June 2019.

In March 2024 Samantha sold Quail Lodge and it is now a private residence.  

Branding

Pen was responsible for branding Quail Lodge after meeting with Samantha and discussing the direction the branding of her private luxury lodge would take. Sam liked the idea of featuring Quails in the name and after discussion we decided on the name of Quail Lodge because of the quails that were regularly seen on the property. Pen then set about creating several logo concepts around the quail theme.

The stem of the Q symbolizes the quail's 'tuft' and the use of two quails represents the idea of couples along with the two bedrooms of the lodge. The final logo (shown above) was printed in gold foil on a black background to create a feeling of luxury. The double sided laminated business cards used a premium, heavy-weight paper stock and the logo for the web used a pseudo gold effect.

Photography

Allan our professional in-house photographer was responsible for the stunning photography for Quail Lodge which was used for full screen web banners and interactive galleries throughout the website. The photos were also used for social media posts and external availability booking sites and directories.

Auckland Web Design

The custom responsive website features our drone video footage to showcase the drury heights location and stunning views from the luxury lodge. AMG used full screen photo banners for maximum visual impact and included interactive galleries, a Google Map and booking enquiry contact form.

The design of the site made use of white space for a contemporary uncluttered, minimal feel. Call-to-action buttons were used throughout the site and navigation was clear and easy to follow.

We set up availability bookings for Samantha with channel management software to sync all of the top external booking sites such as Booking.com, Expedia, Agoda and others.  We also setup the booking channels with categories, images and text.

SEO

AMG conducted keyword and competitor research prior to registering a search engine friendly domain name, which we used for hosting the website. Our chosen domain name, SEO (search engine optimisation) and link building helped our client reach page one of Google Search organically in only a couple of months.

We also setup Google Search Console, Google Maps and Google My Business accounts, and created/submitted sitemap feeds to Google.

AMG handles web content management and SEO for Quail Lodge with regular website updates, monthly Google Analytics reports and website search engine submission.

The website is hosted on our secure SSL encrypted Auckland servers with a secure Certificate. We also provide email hosting.

Quail Lodge Awards

In July 2019 the Quail Lodge website gained the "Top Tourism Site Award" by Tourism New Zealand.

Then came Covid and all hospitality websites throughout New Zealand struggled without the international tourists the industry had relied on.

In spite of the pandemic and drastic downturn in the hospitality industry, Quail Lodge not only survived, but was the winner of the 2021 Traveller Review Award and gained a Qualmark 5 Star Award in January.

And in May, Quail Lodge won the 2021 Bed & Breakfast Rising Star of The Year Award.

The Bed & Breakfast Association President, Donna Brooke said,
"To take on a property and get it to an already award winning property in less than two years, deserves recognition. Quail Lodge is an immaculate property in both presentation and hosting."

Samantha and her Auckland luxury lodge are 'rising stars' indeed!
